Formula makes an excellent basic fixed gear hub! Sometimes available with longer axles to permit respacing for wider frames.
------------
7/21/13 -- For these rear hubs, the shorter axle option is 160mm long, and the longer option is 175mm long. The 160mm axle can really only be used on a 120mm spaced frame due to the length of threading required by the captive-washer track nuts. I also measured the spacing over the shoulders on the axle as about 78.25mm (certainly between 78.20 and 78.30). The cartridge bearing versions of these hubs use a pair of 6000 bearings, in case that info is useful to somebody someday. -Karl
